Graciela Chong
Graciela was born and raised in San Diego, California, and is a recent UC Davis graduate with a BS in Animal Science. Her cultural background is rooted in Central America, where her parents immigrated to California from Honduras and Nicaragua. Her interests include working with Latinx communities, agricultural sustainability, community development, combating agricultural inequality, farmworkers, food justice, and food systems. A cool fun fact about Graciela is that she used to drive the Davis City buses as an Undergraduate student!
Graciela is currently working as an undergraduate researcher in the Power of Words podcast project. She is helping with the literature review, landscape analysis, question building, and future interviews. She is planning on obtaining a Master's in International Agricultural Development in the future.
